Impossible de l\u2019identifier en l\u2019absence de m\u00e2choires et d\u2019empreintes digitales. Impossible de dater le meurtre. Impossible d\u2019\u00e9tablir la cause du d\u00e9c\u00e8s. Le foie est \u00e9clat\u00e9. Une fracture vert\u00e9brale relev\u00e9e. L\u2019autopsie d\u00e9c\u00e8le aussi la prise massive de somnif\u00e8res, dont du Zopiclone, puissant s\u00e9datif. Rien d\u2019autre qu\u2019un m\u00e9got pr\u00e9serv\u00e9 des flammes. Il faudra trois mois \u00e0 la police judiciaire de Versailles pour faire le lien avec Yves Bourgade, 44 ans, beau comme un dieu, marqu\u00e9 de cicatrices aux chevilles. La veille, le 26 f\u00e9vrier, la disparition de cet entrepreneur a \u00e9t\u00e9 signal\u00e9e par son \u00e9pouse aux gendarmes de Milly-la-For\u00eat. L\u2019unit\u00e9 de lieu et de temps parle d\u2019elle-m\u00eame. Les pr\u00e9l\u00e8vements ADN font le reste. L\u2019enqu\u00eate peut commencer. Elle m\u00e8ne \u00e0 Florence F\u00e9derl\u00e9.
