The BLUESTAR® Forensic Medium Kit provides crime scene investigators with a convenient, easy-to-use solution for detecting invisible blood traces.
Designed for mobility, this kit contains two separate applications (250 ml / 8 oz each) — ideal for active field use.
Simply add the tablets, swirl, and spray. A bright chemiluminescent glow indicates a strong likelihood of blood, even if the stain has been cleaned or is not visible to the naked eye.
BLUESTAR® Forensic reacts to all types of blood.
To determine whether the blood is of human origin, use BLUESTAR® Identi-HEM® or BLUESTAR® OBTI. Final confirmation can then be performed by a forensic laboratory.

BLUESTAR® Forensic detects minute, erased, or thoroughly washed blood traces even after the use of detergents or at extreme dilutions.
Upon contact with blood, it produces a blue chemiluminescence visible to the naked eye.
It can be applied to all types of surfaces: metal, plastic, fabric, and more.
Crucially, the reaction does not alter DNA and allows for subsequent DNA profiling.
BLUESTAR® Forensic is more sensitive than traditional blood developers.
It can detect traces of blood at dilutions up to 1:100,000, even on dark or textured surfaces.
Its strong, long-lasting luminescence requires no total darkness and enables excellent photographic or video documentation using standard equipment.
It has even revealed ancient bloodstains, such as 7,000-year-old traces during archaeological research (see publication).
Some food residues or chemicals may trigger a reaction.
Training is essential to properly recognize a true blood reaction versus a false positive.

- 2 x 2 oxidant tablets (for 2 applications)
- 2 bottles of 250 ml (8oz) chemiluminescent solution
- 1 adjustable spray head
- 1 instructions sheet
- Dissolve 2 oxidant tablets in one bottle of solution
- Screw on and adjust the spray head.
- Spray on the surface to be examined.
- Store in a dry, dark place between 4°C and 30°C (39°F to 86°F).
